Noteworthy inhabitants of Chitwan National Park include 68 mammal species, 544 bird species, 56 herpetofauna species, and 126 fish species. The park is particularly renowned for its conservation efforts towards the One-Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, and Gharial Crocodile. Chitwan National Park boasts a wealth of vegetation. Sal trees dominate the southern aspect of Churia Hill, interspersed with Chir Pine. On the northern slopes, Sal trees coexist with smaller tree and shrub species like Beleric, rosewood, axewood, elephant apple, grey downy balsam, and climbing plants such as Bauhinia vahilli and Spatholobus.
