Jomolhari Circuit Trek: Journey to the Sacred Himalayan Giant
The Jomolhari trek is among the most renowned trekking paths in Bhutan, known as the kingdom of the thunder dragon. Jomolhari, also referred to as Chomolhari, is often called the bride of Mt. Kanchenjunga. This journey takes you to the base of Jomolhari mountain at an elevation of 4100m, beginning from the Paro Valley. Mt. Jomolhari, standing at 7326m, is dedicated to the female protective deities (Jomo) of Tibet and Bhutan, who were sworn by Padmasambhava to safeguard the land, the Buddhist faith, and the local populace.
