Legend has it that Langtang Valley was discovered by an individual who embarked on a quest to find their lost yak. This is how the valley acquired its name, derived from the Tibetan words for yak and follow. Overlooking the valley is the majestic Mt. Langtang Lirung, towering at a height of 7,246m. The vistas offered here are truly mesmerizing, encompassing a panoramic view of mountains that includes Dorje Lakpa, Morimoto, Dragmarpo Ri, Kimshung, Langshisha Ri, Ganchempo, Naya Kanga, Yala Peak, Chyarkung Chuli, Cholangpati Danda, Surya Peak, Tsergo Ri, and the remarkable Lauribinayak Pass, which reaches an elevation of 4,610m. 

Nestled in the Langtang Valley, the Tamang people have established their home, practicing a harmonious blend of Bon and Tibetan Buddhism. Embarking on the trekking journey, we commence from Syabrubesi, a location that requires a 6-hour drive from Kathmandu. Our path follows a leveled trail, meandering through a picturesque rhododendron forest until we reach the enchanting Langtang Valley. The Langtang Valley Trek itinerary also encompasses a visit to Langtang Village, which bore the brunt of the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal in April 2015. Along the way, we will encounter various cultural landmarks such as Mani walls, Chortens, prayer flags, stone slab writings, and Gompas. If we are fortunate, we may even catch a glimpse of the elegant red panda. Ultimately, our journey leads us to Kyanjin Gompa, nestled at an altitude of 3,870m.

Throughout our voyage, we will be privileged to witness awe-inspiring vistas of Mt. Ganchhenpo and Mt. Langtang Lirung I (7234m). Moreover, we will have the opportunity to visit a stunning monastery and a local cheese factory in Kyanjin Gompa. Additionally, we will embark on an invigorating hike to Tserko Ri, allowing us to experience the grandeur of glaciers and majestic mountains up close, all at an impressive altitude of 5,000m. Subsequently, we will retrace our route back to Kyangjin Gompa and continue our trek towards Lama Hotel, Syabrubesi, before finally returning to Kathmandu.
